Products and services
Accounts, cards and plans
Revolut sells five personal plans in the UK, from a free Standard tier to Ultra. Higher tiers raise the monthly ATM and currency exchange allowances. Card payments were Revolut's joint largest revenue line in 2025 at $1.3bn. For how card fees flow between issuers and networks such as Visa and Mastercard, see how card payments work.
UK bank accounts
Following the March 2026 approval, Revolut Bank UK Ltd offers deposit accounts with FSCS protection on eligible deposits. Revolut said existing UK customers (13 million at that date) would receive at least two months' notice before their accounts move to the bank in phased batches. New customers signing up from 11 March 2026 may still be placed with Revolut Ltd, the e-money entity, at first. Lending and credit products for the UK were described as planned.
Currency exchange and transfers
FX earned $800m in 2025, up 43%. Exchange allowances depend on the plan (see the fees table below).
Investing and wealth
Investment services in the UK are provided by Revolut Trading Ltd. The 2025 results mention ETF investment plans, CFD trading and treasury investments, with wealth revenue of $876m. Revolut's disclosure page states that its commodities service is not regulated by the FCA.
Crypto
UK crypto services sit under Revolut Ltd's FCA anti-money laundering registration. Crypto assets are high risk and largely unregulated in the UK; see our explainers on FCA crypto promotion rules and the EU's MiCA regime.
Credit and insurance
The 2025 results list unsecured personal loans and credit cards, plus mortgage refinancing in Lithuania. Insurance is arranged by Revolut Travel Ltd, with Revolut Ltd acting as its appointed representative.
Revolut Business
Business accounts produced 16% of group income in 2025, according to Revolut. The company also mentioned Titan, a premium corporate card with a waitlist at the time.
Fees and pricing
Prices below are from Revolut's UK plans page, opened on 3 November 2026. Fee schedules per plan are also published on Revolut's legal fees page.
| UK plan | Monthly price | Fee-free ATM withdrawals per month |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free | £200 or 5 withdrawals |
| Plus | £3.99 | £200 |
| Premium | £7.99 | £400 |
| Metal | £14.99 | £800 |
| Ultra | £55 | £2,000 |
Standard and Plus carry a monthly fair usage limit on weekday currency exchange; the page footnote gives a fee of 1% (Standard) and 0.5% (Plus) above it. Premium, Metal and Ultra show no fair usage limit. The page also lists international transfer discounts by plan, but does not map them clearly to each tier, so we have not reproduced them. Subscriptions earned Revolut $936m in 2025.

Regulation in brief
Revolut uses different legal entities depending on the customer's country and the product. The UK entities below are listed on Revolut's own regulatory disclosure page; the Revolut Ltd entry was also checked on the FCA's firm checker.
| Entity | Regulator | Authorisation | Reference | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Revolut Bank UK Ltd | PRA, FCA | Bank authorised by the PRA, regulated by the FCA and PRA. Mobilisation restrictions lifted 11 March 2026 | FS Register 981170 | Company disclosure |
| Revolut Ltd | FCA | Authorised electronic money institution; registered with the FCA for cryptoasset anti-money laundering purposes | FRN 900562 | Register |
| Revolut Trading Ltd | FCA | Investment services | FRN 933846 | Company disclosure |
| Revolut Travel Ltd | FCA | Insurance distribution | FCA 780586 | Company disclosure |
| Revolut Bank UAB | European Central Bank, Bank of Lithuania | Banking licence, converted from a specialised bank licence in December 2021 | Not shown on the pages we opened | Regulator notice |
Two points matter when reading this table. First, the FCA's crypto entry is a registration under the money laundering regulations, not an authorisation, and the FCA's firm checker states that crypto money is not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or the FSCS. Second, Revolut says customers can ask through in-app chat which entity provides their service. To confirm any of these entries yourself, search the FCA register by the reference number and follow our guide on how to check a financial licence.
Banking licences outside the UK
On 24 March 2026 Revolut said it holds banking licences in more than 30 of its 40 markets. The same release said full banking launched in Mexico in January 2026 and that Revolut had filed a formal application for a US national bank charter in March 2026, which had not been granted at that date.
The Lithuanian bank has a longer history. The ECB granted Revolut a specialised bank licence in December 2018, alongside an e-money licence for Revolut Payments UAB from the Bank of Lithuania. In December 2021 the ECB converted the specialised licence into a full banking licence, and the e-money business was merged into Revolut Bank UAB.
Who it tends to suit
Revolut is commonly used by people who spend or hold money in several currencies, travel often, or want banking, investing and crypto in one app. Its tiered plans may suit users willing to pay a monthly fee for higher ATM and FX allowances. Revolut reported 767,000 business customers at the end of 2025. What to check before signing up
- Which Revolut entity holds your money: Revolut Bank UK Ltd (FSCS-eligible deposits), Revolut Ltd (an e-money institution, not a bank) or Revolut Bank UAB.
- Your plan's ATM limit and weekday FX fair usage limit, and the fee charged above them.
- Whether a product is regulated: crypto and commodities are outside FCA authorisation in the UK.
- The FCA register entry and contact details, given the clone-firm warning.
- Investment and CFD risk disclosures before using trading features.
Information only, not financial or investment advice. Crypto assets are high risk and you could lose all the money you put in. CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage.
