Editorial policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
This policy sets out how Payments30 researches, writes, checks and updates its pages. It applies to every article, profile, comparison, guide and explainer we publish.
Sources
- We use primary sources: company websites, legal and regulatory disclosures, annual reports and filings, regulator registers, regulator and court publications, legislation and official statistics.
- We do not use review sites, forums, affiliate sites or unattributed data as a source of facts.
- Every page ends with a list of the sources we checked, with the date we accessed them.
- Figures carry a date or period. If a company does not publish a figure, we say so rather than estimate it.
Licences and regulatory status
- For every firm we profile, we look for its authorisations on the relevant public register and on the firm's own regulatory disclosure page, and we show which of the two we relied on.
- Before publishing, we check regulator warning lists where relevant.
- If we cannot find a licence, we state that we found no licence on a named register as of a given date. We do not promote unregulated firms.
- We describe enforcement actions, fines and court cases using the regulator's or court's own wording and link to the original decision. We do not describe any firm as a scam or fraud.
Accuracy and originality
- We write in our own words. We do not copy text from companies, regulators or other publishers. Short quotes are used only when the exact wording matters, and they are attributed.
- We do not invent quotes, reviews, testimonials, ratings, user numbers or prices.
- We may use software tools to help research and draft. Every page is checked against its sources by an editor before publication, and the editor is responsible for it.
No advice, no recommendations
Payments30 publishes general information. We do not recommend any provider or product, and nothing we publish is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Comparisons describe differences and the kinds of business each provider tends to serve; they do not name a winner.
Risk warnings
Pages about CFDs, spread betting or leveraged trading carry a risk warning, and where we quote a broker's own published figure for the share of retail accounts that lose money, we show the date it was published. Pages about crypto-assets carry a crypto risk warning. We do not show calls to action for crypto products to UK readers.
Independence and conflicts of interest
- Payments30 is published by Humainz, Inc. Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team.
- Companies cannot pay to change, remove or approve what we write about them, and they do not see articles before publication.
- Where someone involved in our editorial work has a commercial relationship with a company we cover, or with its direct competitors, we either add a disclosure to the page or do not cover the company.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
If we publish sponsored content, it will carry a "Sponsored" label above the title and links in it will be marked rel="sponsored". If we use affiliate links, the page will say so. Commercial relationships never change the facts in a profile. See how we make money.
Updates
Each page shows when it was first published and when it was last updated. We aim to re-check company profiles at least every 90 days and sooner when a regulator or the company announces a material change.
Corrections and right of reply
We correct errors promptly. See our corrections policy.
